Time Off at SettleMint

The law dictates what we can and cannot do regarding time off, but we believe this is a limited way of thinking about it.

Instead, we want you to think about what you actually need, starting with two important pillars:

• We work hard and need time to recharge and rest. Sometimes we work harder and need more rest, while other times we work less and need less rest.
• Life happens, and we have other important things to attend to. This means we can't always work, and we need time off.

Taking enough rest is just as important as giving your all when working. We want you to take enough time off to reload and recharge so that you can be at your best when working. The concept of work isn't always limited to a set number of hours or places, and there is a balance to strike. Simply looking at hours or a holiday quota limits this discussion.

We don't view the number of holiday days in the SD Worx or HiBob application as a required quota, but rather a moral obligation to yourself, your loved ones, and SettleMint.

Work hard, but take enough time to rest and recharge.

This only works when...

• Flexibility goes both ways
• You make sure to take enough time off
• You communicate in a crystal clear manner, agreeing on the dates with others and putting it in HiBob and SD Worx.
• You don't abuse the benefits of this arrangement.

Your cat dies, your car broke, you move to another city, you get married or have kids. Life events that all need your attention. We decided that we are not going to decide for you how much time you get for certain events. The question is: how much time do you actually need?

Most companies don't give you time off for funerals that are not for immediate relatives. We think we don't need a rule to tell us if that funeral is important for you. So take the time you need.
